Bangkok 2015 - WEEK 1

Sawadekaa!
Hello Thailand and hello Bangkok, the place of nice and peaceful people, a hot and wet climate, delicious food and beautiful places! I am happy to be here again, for one month longer than last year and with another agency. As you may have noticed - i didnt post anything since more than one month. I am sorry for that huge break but I lost my mobile in China (as you can reread it) and I got one of a friend, which could not install Blogspot. Whatever, now I just posted the last 4 weeks of experiences in Shanghai that you've missed, so don't forget to reread the last posts if you're interested as I did a lot of pictures.
And now let me tell you about my hard and stressful first week in Bangkok....
I arrived on Saturday last week and was picked up by my booker who told me already how the things work here and showed me my compcard that he did to me. When we arrived at my apartment I was in love already..almost everything around that building was out of green, I mean palms and trees and I heard a lot of birds so I felt pure nature. We waited for a girl who had the keys and went upstairs to my room which is very big and actually for four persons but I am the second one in it. We also have a balcony where I just chilled with the girl talking about love and life..and how things are going there. I started to feel comfortable from this moment on. I smelt the air, heard the soft Thai language and listened to the girl telling me that everything is quite chilled here. I was so happy ! Because China made me so tired in the end and I really hoped that I can have a little time for myself and take a break of all the clubs and castings in China. I asked if it's possible to visit the beach side in our free time and she said of course if you are sure that you're free just do whatever you want to. After 2 hours of talking we made an appointment the next day in the morning to show me around and help me to do some important stuff such as changing money and buy a Thai Sim card. I met my roommate Katia very soon and found her sympathic from the first moment. She is from Russia but lives in Shanghai for the second year already with her boyfriend and came to BKK for good pictures. I was very lucky that I had a whole free day the next day for all the important things and for making friends with my house mates and looking around the area. I even went to a massage place with Katia very close to our house for about 4 euros...I just don't wanna try to tell you how amazing that was after a flight and a trip. And the highlight of the day was my dinner. A big white fish from the grill filled with onions garlic and green in combination with a hot salty fresh corn. After Chinas oily kitchen it was just a paradise to see a whole street full of street food which is healthy and cheap and 5 minutes to walk from our house. The next days I had 2-3 castings (I had around 10 a day in China). We go to the castings on our own what is a lot more interesting than sitting in the bus not moving your legs and not seeing anything else from outside. I tried to do important things after the castings and relax a bit and the next days I found out that the pool in front of our house which belongs to our neighbour is free for us. So on my first free day, Wednesday I spent a morning in the pool eating fruits and drinking fresh juices. My second free day was full and interesting. Renee, a Belgian girl who lives in my house, and me did a river cruise and jumped of close to one of the temples. After walking around a little bit we went to the main street in the center called Khan Dan Road and ate a coconut ice cream there and waited for my Thai friends from last year. They invited me for celebrating into my birthday at a nice rooftop bar with a view on a temple. It was amazing...we had a lot of fun, drank champagne and cocktails and I even got a small cake. The next day was my birthday so I tried to do the best of it. Of course it was already special just to be in this country with a summer weather instead of cold freezy autumn as it is now in Germany. However, I didn't really know many people and was not sure how it will be without my lovely family and boyfriend. The day was very relaxed ..I slept well, had two castings that were easy and had a nice breakfast. I went to the pool with an ice cream and fruits and chilled around 2 hours there. After this I showered and went to the massage place close to our house and had a nice dinner after it. So I made a lot of presents for myself. Back home I started to Skype with my best friend who told me everything what I missed and then I saw my whole family that met up especially to celebrate my birthday and drink something for it. We did chin chin through the camera. We talked for two hours and I felt as if I were there. It was so good to do this and a perfect present. My roommate returned late that day because she was on a trip to Laos to do a working visa. When she came back I prepared some sweet wine and a few snacks and we were talking at the balcony for 2 hours and then continued inside. It was so super relaxing and perfect to sleep well and start into another sightseeing day: on Saturday we went to the big market here, the chatuchak. Its huge and you can just find everything there what you think of and 3 times cheaper than in other places. We didn't buy anything but we were so tired after walking that we went to do massage again...but I took the foot massage this time which was amazing with balms and oils. In the evening we were invited to a dinner of a friend, enjoyed the time, drank cocktails and returned back no to late. But how did my week end up? I am on my way to Laos to do the business visa as well! That's where I took the time to write you .
